AFFILIATES of the Center for Computer System Security will benefit in many ways:

  • Prominent exposure through a world-class research institution. CCSS sponsors and participants will be listed clearly on the CCSS web site, and in relevant CCSS publications, identifying them as industry leaders in security.
  • Participation in research and development testbeds. Affiliates have the opportunity to contribute products to be used in our security environment, exposing them to researchers and students, as well as providing feedback to improve those products.
  • Recruitment opportunities for outstanding students in computer security. Affiliates can initiate connections with students who will gain practical real-life experience with security in addition to fundamental academic instruction.
  • Collaboration with a leading university. Participation at the CCSS provides affiliates with the opportunity to conduct research and development in collaboration with USC--not only in security areas, but conceivably in all areas of computer science and engineering. Affiliates will benefit from extended contact and interaction with faculty.
  • Ongoing dissemination of CCSS activities. Affiliates will have first-hand news on developments in computer security, not only at the center but around the world. The CCSS plans an annual meeting where affiliates can meet personally with the center personnel.
